Heavy-duty pull-outsÂ
Would you like a little more in terms of weight? If you answer yes to this question and a normal drawer runner is no longer sufficient for your project, then heavy-duty pull-outs are the right solution. They score with a higher load-bearing capacity and - depending on the model - can lift up to several hundred kilograms. Whether for a van, used in agriculture or in IT - with us you will find heavy-duty pull-outs for various areas of application. Take a look around and quickly implement your plans with the right components!

More load capacity for larger projects
Larger projects require stronger solutions - and that is precisely why heavy-duty pull-outs were designed. So if the load-bearing capacity of a normal drawer runner is no longer sufficient, they come into play. These are rails that can take up to several hundred kilograms and are therefore used in various situations and sectors. From industrial production to vehicle and machine construction to IT and agriculture. The components are mostly made of steel, stainless steel or aluminium, whereby each of the materials has its advantages and disadvantages:
Steel and stainless steel are very robust and durable, but also heavier. Heavy-duty aluminium pull-outs are a much lighter alternative. They are therefore often used in caravans and campers where weight reduction plays an important role. However, they do not have the same robustness as pull-outs made of steel.
If corrosion resistance is important, you should go for aluminium or stainless steel pull-outs. In contrast to steel products, these are usually weatherproof.
They are more durable than steel slides.

Length and functions make the difference
Important when choosing the right heavy-duty pull-out: the length. Our portfolio ranges from heavy-duty pull-outs of 305 mm to those with 1524 mm. In addition, we offer heavy-duty pull-outs for floor mounting and those with or without locking. There are also versions with a latching function and a restraint system. This means: heavy-duty slides equipped with a latching function can be locked in the retracted and extended state. The advantage: This prevents unexpected retraction and extension of the heavy-duty rail. For example, if you want to mount heavy-duty pull-outs in vehicles, you should use a locking handle that can be released with a lever. The following two terms also often come up in this context:
- Lock-In: If a heavy-duty rail is equipped with this function, it means that a mechanism ensures that the rail remains firmly in its retracted position. Uncontrolled extension is thus a thing of the past.
- Lock-Out: The counterpart to this is called Lock-Out. Here, the internal mechanism causes the heavy-duty rail to be locked in a fixed position when extended. Thus, an uncontrolled retraction of the rail is prevented.

Fitting heavy-duty pull-outs
The right length, the right functions and the minimum distance between the carcase and the drawer are among the most important factors you should know about at the beginning. Once you have found a suitable heavy-duty drawer, the first step is to mark the drill holes on the side panels and then drill the holes. It is important to mount the rails on the correct side - they are therefore marked accordingly, for example with a small R or L. The rails are now screwed to the side walls. In the next step, mark the matching drill holes on the drawer and pre-drill them. Now you can insert the drawer and screw the drawer runners to the drawer.

3 frequently asked questions about heavy-duty pull-outs and our answers
Our service also includes answering all our customers' questions - and we have broken down three particularly frequent ones on the subject of heavy-duty pull-outs below:
Â
Can I fit heavy-duty pull-outs myself?
The installation of heavy-duty pull-outs is relatively simple - so with a little manual skill and the right tools, self-installation is possible. However, it does require a certain amount of care and precision. It is therefore essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly to ensure that rails, screws and co. are correctly positioned and mounted.
Â
How safe are heavy-duty pull-outs?
Heavy-duty pull-outs are generally very safe - provided they are installed and maintained correctly. So a regular check during ongoing operation can't hurt. In addition, it is important not to load them beyond their load-bearing capacity and to ensure that they are properly locked and secured to prevent unintentional opening or slippage.
Â
Can I use heavy-duty pull-outs outside?
Yes, there are heavy-duty pull-outs that are also suitable for outdoor use. These should be corrosion and weather resistant. Likewise, heavy-duty pull-outs have been developed that can be used specifically in humid environments because they have a special surface treatment.
