Environment and disposal

At Heimwerkertools, the protection of our environment and the proper disposal of our products are important to us. We would therefore like to inform you about the applicable regulations and your options for environmentally friendly disposal.

2. take-back of electrical appliances in accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG2)

As a distributor of batteries and rechargeable batteries and devices containing them, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the correct disposal and return. Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste, as they contain potentially harmful substances and heavy metals that can damage the environment and your health if disposed of improperly. You can recognize such batteries and rechargeable batteries by the crossed-out waste garbage can and the chemical names of the harmful substances they contain (see illustration below). Please take used batteries and rechargeable batteries to a recycling center or a specialist dealer to ensure environmentally friendly disposal. Alternatively, you can send the batteries and rechargeable batteries purchased from us to our return point. Further information can be found in section "3. Returns" further down on this page.

2. take-back of electrical appliances in accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG2)

In accordance with ElektroG2, you as a consumer are obliged to dispose of used electrical and electronic equipment correctly. These devices, as well as batteries and rechargeable batteries, are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin and must not be disposed of with household waste. As a consumer, you can take these devices to a recycling center for separate collection free of charge. Please note that used batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not firmly connected must be removed in advance and disposed of separately. Before disposing of an old device, all personal data should also be deleted. As a retailer, we will take care of the professional disposal of a comparable old device when you purchase a new product. Irrespective of this, we will take back your old appliances in normal household quantities, provided they are no larger than 25 cm. You can send these appliances to us by post as described in section "3. Returns".

3. return shipment

To enable you to return old appliances and used batteries free of charge, we will provide you with a return label. Please contact our customer service team at service@heimwerkertools.com to request a return label.
