Electrical Accessories

The LED recessed luminaires of the Loox 5 series have the special feature that you can use them with a housing as under-cabinet luminaires. You also have a wide choice of housings for recessed luminaires, depending on the type of luminaire and the environment in which it is to be installed. A wide range of accessories is also available for the Loox 5 lighting system: from remote control to Bluetooth wall switches and clip connections for LED strips.

The right housings for recessed and under-cabinet luminaires

The largest selection is available in square and round LED spotlights. They are the classic LED lighting for cabinets, in display cabinets, on shelves, in the bathroom or above the sideboard. A Loox 5 LED luminaire is used wherever you want to set an accent or highlight something with light. For the classic spotlights, you can choose between round and angular housings. However, these only have an aesthetic function; it is up to your taste whether you prefer round or angular shapes.

Both round and angular luminaires can be used for accent lighting or to highlight something.

Both the recessed housing and the under-cabinet housing consist of only one part. In the case of recessed luminaires, the housing ring is simply placed on the luminaire before fitting and screwed in with a small twist to the left. With an under-cabinet luminaire, the housing is first fastened with two screws. Then the end ring is fixed in the same way as for the recessed luminaire, and finally the luminaire unit is inserted into the housing. There it snaps into place with a clearly audible click.

Enclosures for LED luminaires are available in special shapes, for example if they are to emit at an angle, or as triangular substructure enclosures. For the LED series 2090 and 3090, you can choose from different colours, namely anthracite, brown, stainless steel look, matt nickel, black, silver and white. These enclosures are available in round and angular versions as recessed or undercabinet enclosures.

Loox 5 accessories from remote control to wall switch

In addition to the enclosures, Loox 5 offers a wide range of accessories. The Bluetooth remote control, for example, is very popular. You can use it to control the 6-way distributor in the Connected Mesh network. The practical thing about system integration is that you can, for example, assign your own functions to the buttons. You don't need any programming knowledge, just the Connect app. You use it to determine which elements that are connected to a Bluetooth distributor are to be controlled via which buttons on the remote control. With the arrow keys and illuminated numbers, you can jump back and forth between the individual elements. You can switch them on and off, adjust the brightness and dim the light. You can also save three different light scenarios.

The Bluetooth wall switch is actually a light switch. But it literally has it all, because the built-in electronics allow you to control four different elements with the switch without having to lay a cable. You also connect the switch via the app. It is connected to the distributor to which the respective elements are connected. The four buttons on the Loox 5 Bluetooth wall switch can be assigned individually. You can not only switch on and off, but also control the brightness and the colour temperature. The switch is powered by a battery and can be glued or screwed on.

Clips extend LED strips

A small but nice accessory are Loox 5 connectors for LED strips. If you have a very wide cabinet, for example, you may need to connect several LED strips together. For this you need a special connector. These small plastic elements are available in different versions for monochrome, multi-white and RGB LED strips and different bandwidths. They are suitable for both 12 V and 24 V networks. Corner connections are a special form. If you want to run LED lighting around a corner, you also need a special connector for this. The LED strips are simply inserted on both sides. You just have to make sure that the polarity is correct. This is easy, however, because the same side of both strips must face upwards. After inserting, press the tab down until you hear a click. The clip connection is made.
