Mital was founded in 1981 by Carlo Martin in the Italian region of Veneto, an important centre of the furniture and furnishing industry. Originally specialising in the production of wooden handles and knobs, the company later expanded its range to include furniture handles, knobs, coat hooks and shelf supports in various materials such as zama, brass, iron, plastics and others. Mital collaborates with designers, architects and design schools and uses 3D printers for prototypes to improve the design and production process.
